Basic Job Functions:
Nucor Tubular Group is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Electrical Engineer. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, update of drawings and documentation, support the safe execution of our reliability based maintenance programs, failure trouble shooting, ensure optimum performance of all equipment as well as to develop and implement projects for continuous improvement. The successful candidate will have a proven experience in maintaining and trouble shooting electrical systems (motors, drives, instrumentation, power distribution up to 480V) and have the technical ability to program PLCs / HMIs and automation equipment. Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.
Minimum Qualifications:
* Strong Electrical Aptitude
* Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including scheduled and unscheduled overtime, and weekends.
Preferred Qualifications:
* 4 years Technical Degree
* Actively engaged in Safety performance and improvement

This segment also engages in the piling distribution business. The Raw Materials segment produces direct reduced iron (DRI); processes ferrous and nonferrous metals; brokers ferrous and nonferrous metals, pig iron, DRI, and hot briquetted iron; supplies ferro-alloys; and processes ferrous and nonferrous scrap metal, as well as engages in the natural gas drilling operations. This segment sells its ferrous scrap to electric arc furnace steel mills and foundries for manufacturing process; and nonferrous scrap metal to aluminum can producers, secondary aluminum smelters, steel mills and other processors, and consumers of various nonferrous metals.
The company offers its products through its in-house sales forces; and internal distribution and trading companies. The company was founded in 1940 and is based in Charlotte, North Carolina.
