The Key Account Manager (KAM) Retail.com for the Food, Dollar, Drug Channel position is responsible for supporting the National Account Manager in developing and executing the Retail.com growth agenda. Successful candidates will work in collaboration with Omni Sales Teams, Planning and Marketing functions to develop sustainable growth strategies.
This role will provide omnichannel thought partnership with expertise in eCommerce, responsible for developing and achieving the Customer strategies through the application of Newell Brands' Omni capabilities.
Specific Responsibilities in collaboration with the NAM:
Partner with Omni Sales Leaders within FDD to develop an omni-strategy and support the eCommerce pillars and activities.
Develop and achieve e-originated sales penetration targets across the account responsibility.
Build customer relationships in tandem with the Business Unit sales leads to be seen as best in class omni-partners.
Increase eCommerce competencies across BU sales teams through continuous education, building frameworks and developing playbooks.
Deliver consumption, share and sales growth targets for Newell Brands within Retail.com for FDD.
Use data, information systems, and metrics around financial, brand, and shopper trends to maximize market share, sales, and profits.
Lead the Business Units on the eCommerce needs of the Customers.
Develop an annual promotional plan with the cross-functional team and own execution with the customer.
Negotiates and manages trade funds to create customer and company value by consistently measuring and enforcing trade terms and identifying opportunities for improvement.
Collaborates with sales planning and marketing teams to provide and explain market data to the customer
Leverages our brands and product mix to improve profitability and meet customer, shopper, and Newell Brands targets
Qualifications
BS/BA or University degree in Business or similar field, MBA a plus
Minimum 3+ years of direct and hands-on experience in sales and/or channel marketing
Selling experience within consumer products, preferably across multiple brands
History of setting and delivering a growth agenda.
Experience developing and managing trade budgets
Willingness to travel 20-40%
Experience negotiating complex business deals that provide value to all parties
Experience managing and / or influencing others
Ability to operate independently given direction, and bring ideas and solutions to issues raised
Ability to analyze and assess organizational needs and provide solutions accordingly.
Interpersonal savvy; an ability to effectively work with and connect with all levels of employees across multiple functions and geographies.
Ability to motivate teams to produce desired tangible outcomes within tight timeframes.
Strong project planning, tracking & organizing skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills; must be able to present data in an organized manner
Experience working in a consumer packaged goods (CPG), fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) and/or consumer durables industry strongly preferred
