DESCRIPTION:
* Analyzes and coordinates material usage, inventory levels, production requirements, delivery schedules and other related duties to meet production demands.
* Establish production plans that are consistent with inventory strategy and customer demand.
* Create production plans for the replenishment stock for all pad warehouses.
* Manage planning parameters for all pad warehouses (stock flag, safety stock, leadtime).
* Monitor key indicators (plant capacity/warehouse capacity).
* Work backorder assignment screen for pad orders.
* Identify non-stocking orders and offer solutions.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Develop communication that provides coordination of all activities required to produce the production plan, in the scope of customer service and inventory control.
* Analyze and maintain planning parameters at SKU level in insure the appropriate safety stock levels. (Impacts service, cost and working capital).
* Collaborate with manufacturing facilities to maintain desired inventory levels at all warehouses.
* Work backorder assignment screen for all pad warehouses. This will give the planner the most accurate data on backorder and inventory position (the daily report is a snapshot view of a specific time).
* Work with sales group to offer resolution for customer orders for non-stocking inventory styles.
* Work with pad coordinators on customer orders at the warehouse that qualify as a mill direct order.
* Identify distressed or excessive inventory at the warehouses or pad facility and work with appropriate group for disposition.
* Collaborate with Sales and Manufacturing to ensure timely and accurate planning of new products.
* Monitor key performance indicators (plant capacity, warehouse capacity) and proactively communicate issues and gaps with manufacturing, logistics, customer service and pad coordinators to drive resolution.
* Work together with the pad facilities on balancing capacities (moving routes from one mfg site to another.).
* Support pad facilities for all issues (shop floor system or shipping).
* Work with I.T. in all development, UAT and implementation of enhancements to existing shop floor or shipping programs.
* Work with I.T. in any new development, UAT, and implementation for new programs.
QUALIFICATIONS:
* High School diploma/GED OR minimum of 5-7 years of planning and/or scheduling experience in flow process environment.
* Demonstrated working knowledge of advanced planning system concepts and methodologies.
* Experience working in team environments, influencing decision making among peers, subordinates and business leaders.
COMPETENCIES:
* Proficient in AS400 (pad shop floor system, customer service and shipping program).
* Skilled in Microsoft Office applications, especially Word & Excel.
* Good oral and written communication skills.
* Willingness to grow and develop professionally
* Excellent work ethic and strong sense of responsibility
