Finance Director - Commerce Finance

The Commerce Finance team is an exciting and fast-moving team at the forefront of Microsoft's digital transformation. Commerce Finance is responsible to ensure commerce financial reporting is accurate, processes are scalable, and offers are compliant.

As a Director of Planning, you will lead a team responsible for collecting finance requests, reviewing, and prioritizing and communicating those asks to the various Engineering groups. This includes close partnership with teams including tax, legal, trade and various business groups. The role and team also play a key role in understanding future project road maps to ensure alignment of new finance requests. As a member of the Commerce Finance management team, you will also commit to achieve an inclusive team culture where all voices are heard.

This role reports to the General Manager - Commerce Finance and will lead of team of approximately 4 individuals.

* Lead a project in-take process which requires interaction and deep partnership with key areas within finance including; business groups, tax, compliance, trade etc.
* Deep partnership with various engineering groups in order to help make connections of business needs and readiness of various launches
* Provide support to other key areas within the Commerce Finance team including accounting, teams performing User Access Testing, Compliance and other readiness activities for system enhancement and/or product launches
* Lead the project readiness plan to ensure alignment with engineering activities, finance and other key stakeholders.

* 10 plus years of relevant work experience, and team/people development and management skills.
* BA/BS degree in finance, accounting, business, or related field. Working knowledge of financial systems and controls.
* Experience working across multiple stakeholder groups/functions to synthesize complex issues. Engage, influence, and advise at the executive level.
* Collaborate across organizations to propose and influence solutions that meet business and functional objectives. Lead with business objectives, listen to diverse perspectives and look for the win-win.
