The Global Quality team is a cornerstone of Microns reputation as a worldwide leader in the semiconductor industry. We ensure Microns products are of the highest quality, meeting and exceeding customer expectations. We are looking for a senior-level quality engineer to be a part of this innovation and drive customer technical engagements in the cloud segment.

This position will provide technical expertise and value to our customers. You will serve as the key customer-facing contact to manage your customers quality requirements so that Micron is able to deliver a world class customer quality experience. You will be responsible to work with a core team of engineers to bring Micron to the number supplier position by building excellent technical partnerships. This will be accomplished by setting the strategy for the team and delivering on elite customer quality engagements.

This position is based in San Jose, California or Seattle, Washington.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will have experience in one or more areas below

* Strong proven technical background in memory (DRAM), product design/engineering, test, system validation, or application engineering.
* Systems and application level experience, inclusive of one or more of these areas: Datacenter architecture, system design, component/system test and troubleshooting.
* System integration experience memory products
* Detailed knowledge of DRAM operation
* Strong experience performing system level debug
* Integration and performance validation of memory and/or memory controllers
* Proven experience working with customers in evaluating requirements, driving technical engagements and finding optimum solutions to customers challenges
* 5+ years of experience with quality processes and procedures preferred
* Ability to demonstrate problem solving and troubleshooting skills
* Excellent verbal, written, and customer communications skills
* Quality and Reliability experience is a plus.

Responsibilities include:

* Build and sustain strong relationships with key decision makers in the customers quality and engineering organizations
* Enable a relationship of trust and partnership with customers through technical excellence and a passion for excellent customer service
* Own and foster cross-department collaboration to align customer technical support
* Advise senior management in relation to strategic decisions for technical customer support with timely and effective communication
* Work closely with the customer to resolve their key concerns, production and field failures
* Drive customer support excellence through metrics and processes and continuous improvement
* Work with Quality Management System (QMS) team on customer audits
* Champion voice of customers on quality within Micron

Education Requirements

* Bachelors or Masters of Science in electrical engineering, computer engineering, software engineering, computer science or equivalent required
