Our Team

JP Morgan Asset Managements Derivatives Middle Office is responsible for supporting the overall investment process, primarily working with Portfolio Managers, Investment Specialists, Traders, Risk Management, and other support functions. The teams core functions include managing the end-to-end operating environment and overseeing risk management and business analysis functions while driving AM wide strategic programs.

This is a Vice President role located in New York, as part of AM Derivatives Middle Office. This candidate will be part of the Derivatives Middle Office team and will work in partnership with the Derivatives Product team to define end to end operating environment for Derivatives, and to design and drive comprehensive solutions that meet business requirements across Asset Mamangement. The partnership with our Business colleagues is an imperative, as well as a trusted relationship with our Technology counterparts. This candidate will work closely to give vision and direction to operational capabilities as a whole, while ensuring we are able to support the development of new businesses, products and markets in a controlled, agile and scalable way. Strong analytical thinking coupled with strong technology skills are required, in addition to, the ability to communicate complex matters in a clear and concise manner is essential whether dealing with the Front Office or other support groups.

Role Responsibilities:

* Define the end to end operating environment for Derivatives with a very strong risk and control mindset
* To understand and drive efficiency gains without sacrificing controls.
* To be able to identify areas of improvement and implement new procedures or to change existing process flows to ensure tight controls front to back. The continuous drive towards efficiency coupled with ever stronger controls is essential.
* Build strong relationships across the Business, Risk, Technology and other support groups to ensure a strong control environment
* Work with global partners to ensure consistency in operating environment resiliency across all line of businesses.
* Partner with the Business to shape the Business strategy and ensure alignment with AM wide goals

Skills Required:

* 5-7 years of exceptional cross asset class expertise in the Derivatives market, with a strong understanding of the evolving market structure and regulatory environment
* Demonstrated track record of collaborating with the Business and Technology to deliver impactful results that differentiate client service, meet or exceed business needs, and greatly improve operational capabilities
* Exceptional leadership skills, with the ability to collaborate across a highly matrixed organization
* Vision, creativity, presence, and credibility. A collaborative and flexible style with the ability to interact effectively with senior Operations, Technology and Business sponsors
* An outstanding ability to apply quantitative analytical approaches, communicate effectively and confidently (both oral and written)
* Ability to influence and negotiate effectively at all levels and across a variety of business strategies
