Reports to

Plant Superintendent/Operations Manager

Job Purpose

To service our customers in a safe, efficiently and timely manner.

Umbrella responsibilities of all employees

* Assist and support implementation of EHS initiatives and strategies to reduce risk including but not limited to the areas of: OSHA, ergonomics, injury / illness reduction, hazard communication, environmental, emergency preparedness, and general employee safety
* Supports LIFE areas, Safety Leading Indicators and Global Program Elements
* Ensures a clean and safe work environment
* Adhering to Plant policies and guidelines
* Working safely and looking out for the safety of those around them
* Following all safety protocols
* Maintaining a safe and clean work environment according to plant housekeeping standards
* Attending and participating in Plant safety meetings.
* Managing controllable costs through proper equipment, tool and consumable usage
* Reporting any safety or maintenance concerns

Key Responsibilities

* Completes required routing through the use of most approved transportation vehicles (Box Van, Roll On-Roll Off, TTFU)
* Complete pre-trip inspection report (or VCR)
* Follow all Federal, State, and local D.O.T regulations
* Follow all posted speed limits
* Ensure company cell phone(s) are turned on and are operational
* Obtain daily work schedule/tickets
* Check with dispatcher to determine if any yard work is needed
* Ensure timely pickups for scheduled customers
* Ensure truck is locked when not in use
* Ensure trailers are locked at all times
* Post trip inspection reports at end of shift
* Complete and submit DOT vehicle operating logs at end of shift, or before next tour of duty
* Complete daily housekeeping, cleaning and trash removal from cab of truck at the end of every shift
* Check in with dispatcher prior to leaving for the day
* Other duties as assigned

* Communicate with receiving on equipment needs.
* Communicate with dispatcher if route cannot be completed
* Communication with dispatch regarding any truck/equipment repair needs

Training/Registration/License/Certification requirement

* Valid License with CDL A certification
* Medically certified
* Drug and Alcohol training
* Air Brakes certification
