Job Description
Graphics & Throughput Computing Hardware Engineering (GTCHE) is responsible for delivering industry-leading GPU (3D, media, compute, and display) hardware, intellectual property (IP) blocks, and system-on-a-chip (SoC) products for discrete graphics and throughput computing. We strive to lead the industry through continuous innovation and world-class engineering. We work closely with partners across Intel solving problems across many organizational boundaries. We are looking for a dGPU Platform Cost Engineer to join our team. In this position you will work with finance, product architects, design team, global supply chain, platform, silicon process & technology teams to ensure the final product solution and its components make the best cost trade-off to achieve best performance and power balance for graphics hardware components.
In addition, you will analyze the final platform solution with standard and innovative cost optimizations including:
* SOC die area trade-offs with Wafer yield vs cost
* New technology nodes cost and trade-off
* SoC construction (Single, multi-die)
* New packaging technology and overall impact on assembly cost
* SoC design impact on board product cost
* Work with Global Supply Chain, HW design, and Finance teams

Qualifications
Minimum Skills and Experience that will get you noticed:
Candidate must have a bachelors in Engineering, Business or related field with 10+ years of experience . Or a Masters in Engineering, MBA or related field with 7 years of experience
Candidate experience must be in the following:
* Experience in semiconductor, board level design manufacturing, and experience in cost modeling.
* Experience with cost optimization of product life cycle from beginning to end and initiate cost reduction ideas
Preferred skills and experiences that will make you stand out:
* Program Management certification or Specialty Certifications
* Finance accounting concepts
