Job Description
Role is for a post-silicon debug engineer to debug issues on silicon products, and to assist product teams with usage of debug tools as part of post-silicon debug. The role will also require communication back to debug tools teams on methods to improve the debug tool user experience. The primary role, however, will be to debug issues on silicon products. In this role responsibilities may include, although not limited to: Debugging complex post-silicon problems File, update tracking databases Examining project failure data to identify interesting issues Use debug tools as part of post-silicon debug and provide developers with feedback Requires understanding of post-silicon debug techniques and basic system architecture In addition to the qualifications listed above, the ideal candidate will also have: Deep CPU/PCH microarchitecture or system architecture knowledge Python scripting skills
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications: Candidate must have a Bachelor's degree with 7+ years of experience in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering. 5+ years of experience with: Post-silicon debug, and/or post-silicon validation. Preferred Qualifications: 2+ years of experience with: Client or Server system architecture and/or CPU/PCH microarchitecture Debugging using post-silicon tracing tools RTL design and methodology, pre-silicon validation, and/or programming languages (C++, Python)
