The Worldwide Graphics and Developer Relations Team, GEAR, is a team of software developers focused on making interactive entertainment run great on Intel platforms through joint engagements with many of the world's top game companies. As team we help developers bring new experiences, novel techniques, and key optimizations to tomorrow's most played games.
What Are We Looking For
The candidate will be responsible for supporting GEAR lab located in Hillsboro OR. The job involves installation, operations, collection of data using Intel and industry tools and troubleshooting of pre-release games on current and future Intel hardware platforms. The job also includes systems setup, configuration, fault identification, HW repair and maintenance, as well as management of lab equipment, platforms, PCs, servers.

Learning state of the art tools used in analyzing performance and graphics correctness in games, Learn tools such as GPA, VTUNE, XPerf, Presentmon, graphics bench and other industry tools, Work with yet unreleased hardware, or proxy hardware for both GPU and CPU, Learn the proper handling of confidential software and hardware, Receiving of hardware, Inventorying of assests, Configuring of test configurations. Assist engineers with Hardware setup, data collection and root causing issues in either the hardware, driver or game.
Learn what it takes to create high quality, reliable and repeatable test workloads and results. Look for logical inconsistencies in the data, and how to correct for them.
Responsibilities may be quite diverse of a nonexempt technical nature. U.S. experience and education requirements will vary significantly depending on the unique needs of the job.
Qualifications
You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. Experience listed below would be obtained through a combination of your schoolwork/classes/research and/or relevant previous job and/or internship experiences.
Minimum Qualifications:
The candidate must be pursuing a Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineer or related Field.
6+ months of experience in C++, Windows OS and Programming.
