OVERVIEW

The Maintenance Team Lead provides safety and technical leadership to achieve breakthrough production results in their area. The Maintenance Team Lead is responsible for building capability in Line Teams and Mechanics. They work to eliminate losses and focus on root cause elimination. The Maintenance Team Lead is accountable to improve the reliability of the system through ownership in defect handling, breakdown elimination and planning and scheduling.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
Showcases Engaging Leader behaviors
Build capability of the Line platform teams and technicians to understand their equipment at component level in addition to identifying and resolving defects, eliminating losses and improving asset life
Owns the maintenance budget for the line and reports on the budget on a monthly basis
Provide business and safety leadership which demonstrates commitment to department and plant objectives on a day to day basis
Analysis of equipment performance and improving component life
Maximo data integrity and adherence to Maximo standards
Supports development and execution of 90-Day improvement plan to deliver glidepath through loss elimination.
Health of DH system: Leads documentation of standards and coaches the Platform Team and technicians through the identification, prioritization and resolution of defects
Breakdown Elimination: Identification of triggers, tracking of BE's through dice chart, ensuring completion of BE's and implementation of countermeasures
Planning & Scheduling: Supports the planning and scheduling and assigns all work for the platform prioritizing as it relates to addressing top stops/losses (including shutdown planning)
People Leadership
Direct management of multiple mechanics across 4 different crews and at least one maintenance lead Management Responsibilities include:
Daily staffing
Directing work of mechanics
Hand-offs
Workbrain/Workforce
Onboarding of employees
Team Development
Performance appraisals
Own accuracy and timeliness of performance metrics for crews
Execution of crew specific improvement plan actions
Coordination/ execution of shutdown activities

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
High School Degree
3+ years of related experience
Proven strong leadership skills to drive results and lead change in a complex manufacturing environment
Proven ability to take risks in decision-making and adjust to multiple demands, shifting work priorities, ambiguity, adversity, and change
Excellent interpersonal skills, including verbal, written, electronic, listening and feedback communications
Ability to train, coach and develop maintenance mechanics in problem solving activities
Ability to motivate team members and to help them develop pride and ownership of equipment
Good application of business judgement in decision making to achieve department and plant objectives
Demonstrated understanding of maintenance skills including lubrication, welding, machining, materials, basic electrical, and machine repair
Excellent planning, organization and prioritization skills with practical knowledge of Planning & Scheduling
Willingness to work weekends or alternative hours as required
