Video Sales Support Analyst - Job Description
Responsible for all revenue reporting for Advanced Video Advertising, VOD & PPV Revenue, and provide detailed analysis and guidance. Will have full oversight and responsibility in developing a business operations process for our video advertising products. This would include all customer facing business operation functions including month end close and reporting. In this role, you will be the key connection between the video advertising group and all other finance departments for reporting and analysis.
Core Responsibilities
* Analyzes actual results against expected performance and communicates areas for improvement.
* Reviews and analyzes forecasts and recommends changes when appropriate.
* Updates forecasts for new developments to provide management with a current perspective of the business.
* Provides training and education to Supervisors, exempt, and non-exempt employees on metrics and tools to improve financial performance.
* Works on expense and revenue forecasting for unit.
* Collaborates with other operational departments such as IT, Corporate Revenue, Video Sales, etc to ensure resources are available to support their daily needs and special projects.
* Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.
* Regular, consistent and punctual attendance, some travel will be required.
* Develops, evaluates, and implements performance metrics for functions supervised.
* Measures and analyzes actual performance and makes recommendations for improving profitability where needed.
* Work directly with Advanced Video Advertising, VOD & PPV group on a day to day basis to support finance needs.
Perform all business operations functions for the sales process for video advertising to include:
* Customer account set up
* Customer credit checks
* Invoicing and billing processes
* Accounts Receivables/Payments functions
* Sales Commissions
* Sales reporting
* Daily/weekly/monthly reporting
* Ensure for compliance of business rules and policies
* Vendor Management
* Bad debt management
* Headcount tracking & reconciliation
* Variance analysis
* Preparation of month end journal entries
* Create presentations for management
* Ad hoc analysis
Job Specifications
* Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent
* Finance Department
* Generally requires 6-9 years related experience
