Caution against fraudulent job offers!

We have been informed of instances where jobseekers are led to believe of fictitious job opportunities with Deloitte US (Deloitte). In one or more such cases, false promises of actual or potential selection, or initiation or completion of the recruitment formalities appear to have been or are being made. Some jobseekers appear to have been asked to pay money to specified bank accounts of individuals or entities as a condition of their selection for a job with Deloitte. These individuals or entities are in no way connected with Deloitte and do not represent or otherwise act on behalf of Deloitte.

We would like to clarify that:

Deloitte Consulting LLP seeks a Senior Solution Specialist, Core Business Operations, Systems Engineering in Lake Mary, FL and various unanticipated Deloitte office locations and client sites nationally.

Work You'll Do

Drive software development and implementation services to unlock the value of big technology investments, ranging from requirements to architecture, design to development, testing to deployment, and beyond as discrete services or comprehensive solutions. Participate in setting engagement objectives and scope, develop work plans for components of engagements, and coordinate activities between workstreams and identify changes in scope. Lead the evaluation of technology needs, develop customized applications, draft technical and functional design documentation, and identify and mitigate risks in processes and technology for engagements. Perform assessments of existing information systems, identify gaps between business requirements and current system capabilities, and estimate time and resources needed for the development work. Design sub-components of larger application systems, integrate software applications with each other, and optimize system structures to improve stability and performance. Define systems strategy and develop system requirements; design, prototype, test custom technology solutions; and support system implementations.

* 15% travel required nationally.

Requirements

Minimum Requirements: Bachelor's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering (Any), or a related field and two (2) years of related work experience in the job offered or in a related occupation. Must also have two (2) years of related work experience involving each of the following:

* Participating in solution and technical design by creating architecture diagrams using Microsoft (MS) Visio or open source tools including Lucidchart, and performing requirements analysis including prototyping, development, support, and release phases of the full project Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC);
* Developing architecture design documents including data, interface, architectural, and procedural design documents; utilizing Unified Modelling Language (UML) for structure, behavior, and interaction diagrams; performing data creation tasks to verify implemented technical designs of the software; and creating various diagrams including use case, sequence, and class;
* Deploying knowledge of loosely coupled systems, high scalability, distributed computing with serviceoriented architecture (SOA) that uses microservices, and efficient data searching using Elasticsearch that feeds data analytics engines including Apache Hadoop and Spark;
* Leading code development by translating technical designs into code implementations and framework interfacing points; deploying developed code on various environments, including development, staging, and production environments; monitoring optimal program resources by performing technical code review and code coverage analysis; and making necessary code changes if memory leaks occur, utilizing JConsole or AppDynamics;
* Developing and migrating code within prototype and automating system bootup configurations on Linux by writing shell scripts, and executing scripts to check system loads during performance testing, utilizing Apache JMeter;
* Ensuring optimal application logging, utilizing Rsyslog and Apache Log4j to ensure successful deliveries with minimal post-deployment defects and short turnaround times; and monitoring defect management and resolution tracking using Jira, SonarQube, Bugzilla, and MS TFS (Team Foundation Server) for standard and custom developments;
* Creating test suites and performing Unit, Regression, and Integration testing to meet expected code coverage, and implementing JUnit, Mockito, and Selenium frameworks to verify possible scenarios by continuously executing concurrent Unit test cases to check the integrity of the latest components;
* Utilizing Java/J2EE (Java 8 Platform, Enterprise Edition), JSP (Java Server Pages), Servlets, RESTful web services, and Spring frameworks including Core, MVC (Model, View, Controller); utilizing batch with ORM (Object-Relational Mapping) tools including JPA (Java Persistence API) and Hibernate, message flow among various applications using IBM Toolkit, and monitoring, searching, and analyzing machinegenerated data with Splunk; and maintaining code integrity by managing code repositories including GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket, and Apache Subversion (SVN);
* Participating in setting project scopes and designing, developing, and delivering end-to-end custom software solutions by implementing Agile methodologies including Scrum for clients using Java/J2EE, IBM WebSphere, Salesforce, AWS (Amazon Web Services), Jenkins, and DevOps tools for deployment; and estimating assigned modules and tracking workloads and team capacity in order to allocate tasks to team members; and
* Writing efficient, complex database queries, functions, and stored procedures in relational databases including Oracle, DB2, MySQL (Structured Query Language), and MS SQL, and verifying execution plans which consume less database memory with improved efficiency.
* 15% travel required nationally.
