Job Description
Job Accountabilities
This position will work closely with the North American CAPP Division manufacturing facilities and Engineering Group to provide engineering support and help to implement production and manage the Closures, Aerosol, and Specialty Packaging business and end processes with respect to the following:
* Manage all aspects of the steel can/end forming process and operations
* Develop job completion schedules and monitor their progress
* Provide and coordinate appropriate training for plant personnel
* Mentor and coach technical staff and engineers
* Coordinate new equipment installation
* Manage tooling and line changes
* Facilitate new product line trials
* Provide operational troubleshooting and problem solving
* Manage equipment design and product line design
* Coordinate and take part in manufacturing audits
* Provide appropriate customer support
* Manage and budget project costs
Job Requirements
Requirements include:
* BS or MS degree in Industrial Engineering
* 2-5 years of experience in a manufacturing/process environment
* This position also requires strong computer and design skills as well as some experience with Allen Bradley PLC/HMI Software (RS Logics, etc.) as well as CAD/CAM software (SolidWorks or AutoCAD).
* Some practical experience with managing projects (equipment installation, upgrades, etc.), both individually and in a team environment
* A certification (Green Belt, Black Belt, and Master Black Belt) in Six Sigma and/or Lean Manufacturing would be a plus
* Effective written and verbal communication skills and the ability to interact with individuals at all levels of the organization
* Thorough skill sets in all aspects of Microsoft Office are required
* Must be willing to relocate multiple times
