Position Overview:

The Quality Systems Manager for the Atlanta Beverage Base Plant (ABBP) will lead and direct all aspects of the Quality System activities in ABBP, the Atlanta Consolidated Warehouse (ACW) and the Ft. Worth Distribution Center. This position manages the overall function responsible for the identification and resolution of production, equipment, facility, external quality and process issues. This includes oversight of the responsibilities related to rework instructions, validation protocols, and documentation associated with evaluating equipment performance and product quality. This role will play a significant role in leading all aspects of internal and external plant audits, and managing the process for reviewing audit findings, determining the severity or risk associated with the findings, and ensuring the mitigation of those risks either directly or through influencing others. The candidate of choice must also be able to answer questions and troubleshoot problems related to Management System Requirements (ISO Standards, KORE and others as applicable) and provide feedback to internal associates and management on those issues. This position will report to the QSE Manager ABBP. There is up to 10% travel with this role.

Function Related Activities / Key responsibilities:

Manage the Quality System function for the Atlanta Beverage Base Plant according to the requirements of The Coca-Cola Company in order to ensure consistent top quality products and services and the team that executes against this body of work

Interpret Quality System requirements. Evaluate current TQM and continuous improvement tools and best practices to improve the ABBP Quality System

Coordinate benchmarking activities on this area.

Establish and monitor performance indicators for key programs of the Quality System, initiate corrective actions when required, and provide coaching and support of continuous improvement projects.

Coordinate the Quality System management review meetings, select and prioritize the discussions topics as a way to assure the Quality System is always aligned with Companys objective.

Report to QSE Manager and Plant Management all Product Defect Rate (PDR) incidents, evaluate trends and high impact incidences to determine corrective action, and keep track of the established corrective actions plans.

Monitor Internal Auditors Team Performance; provide adequate feedback and resolves conflicts between the auditors and the personnel being audited.

Keeps abreast on Quality Systems and continuous improvements.

Coordinate the implementation, distribution, continuous revisions and rationalization of all Quality System related documents such as programs, working instructions, working aids, quality records and manuals.

Related Work Experience:

Five (5) years in a QA field including at least three (3) years as auditor, preferably in TCCQS. Other experience related to the responsibilities above will also be considered.

Education:

Bachelors Degree in Natural Science; Chemistry, Food Science, Biology or Chemical or Industrial Engineering

Functional Skills:

Document Management: Ability to create, approve, track and file documents and records in compliance with The Coca-Cola Quality System or other formal guidelines.

Quality System Implementation: Ability to apply and implement quality systems (e.g., ISO, Malcolm Baldridge, Six Sigma and HACCP) and to guide others in developing and implementing quality systems.

Quality Systems: Knowledge of quality systems (e.g., ISO, Malcolm Baldridge, Six Sigma and HACCP) used to develop and enhance current operating system.

The Coca-Cola Quality System: Knowledge and application of policies, principles and standards of The Coca-Cola Quality System in order to ensure consistent quality, protect the Company's trademarks, promote customer and consumer satisfaction, and respond to changing business needs.

Audit Objectivity: Ability to remain independent and objective when performing audits. This includes adhering to the facts and standards and not being unduly influenced by operating management.

Auditing Standards: Knowledge of relevant professional auditing standards such as ASQ, ISO and HACCP.

Good Manufacturing Practices: Knowledge of the basic elements of Good Manufacturing Practices. This includes understanding of Company and regulatory (e.g., cGMP, CFR) guidelines.
