As an EHS Manager, you will manage a comprehensive Environmental, Health and Safety program for the PPG Cleveland facility. You will provide leadership, direction and training that will ensure a safe and healthful workplace for our associates while ensuring compliance with applicable environmental, health, and safety laws and regulations to minimize current and future liabilities/risk.
Key Responsibilities:
* Ensuring compliance with Federal, State, Local and PPG requirements and policies
* Drive injury prevention, spill elimination and sustainability in the areas of waste elimination, energy conservation and water consumption; provide leadership and direction for EHS training; and includes oversight and completion of the industrial hygiene program.
* Provides incident and injury investigation, incident reporting management (Cority), and oversight for the facility, to include workers compensation management.
* Oversight and coordination for sites OSHA PSM program, including the facility-wide MOC program.
* Evaluate the EHS Impacts of capital projects and assure EHS risk assessments are completed.
* Lead site security, fire prevention, and insurance carrier risk management.
* Lead efforts relative to Title V, and water permits (Industrial and Stormwater)
* Oversight of the Waste Management Program (Hazardous, Non-Hazardous, Universal) for a Large Quantity Generator
* Maintaining emergency response and contingency plans.
* Compliance with ISO14001 requirements, and maintaining certification.
* The position will help develop leading indicators that drive continuous improvement in sustainability metrics (energy, water, waste), spill incidents, injuries and the EHS Management System
Qualifications:
* A Bachelors degree in Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Engineering or related.
* 8-10 years experience in the EHS field, preferably in manufacturing or chemical setting.
* Minimum of 5 years supervisory experience!
* Strong knowledge of safety and environmental regulations and consensus standards (OSHA, EPA, DOT, NIOSH, ANSI, NFPA, Workers Compensation), inspection procedures, audits, hazard reviews, incident prevention, and incident investigation techniques.
* Expertise in change management and building a safety culture through influence and engagement!
