PURPOSE OF THE JOB

The Advanced Manufacturing Lifecycle Leader is responsible for building and leading a framework for better use of Lifecycle Cost (LCC) in all areas of our business. Most notably, this individual will partner with our TPM group, more specifically in our Early Management pillar & our Capital Delivery Teams. Business case development, Life-Cycle Cost analysis, Long-range plan analysis, as well as best practices in Cost Control and Project Estimating will be the main areas of focus to enable optimal equipment & technical solution decisions. The position is an integral partner in executing the Advanced Manufacturing strategy, and creating competitive advantage in our markets by using data-driven lifecycle cost analysis tools and techniques. The position collaborates closely with the Advanced Manufacturing NLT and their teams, our TPM organization, Business Unit Operations and Finance teams. This individual provides these services consistently and efficiently across multiple projects, businesses, and regions.

Reports to: Leader, Project Controls

Location: Granville, OH or Toledo, OH

Span of Control: Global. Individual contributor, but indirect leadership throughout the capital delivery, advanced manufacturing, and TPM organizations.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Lifecycle Process creation and execution (85% of time)

* Lead creation and deployment of an OC specific Life-Cycle Cost (LCC) data capture, analysis framework and process, aligned with TPM (specifically Early Management), to guide optimal capital investment decisions to maximize ROI
* Lead LCC business case development for major projects partnering with members of the Adv. Manufacturing Team, Capital Delivery teams, and Finance
* Provide decision support through LCC financial modeling, business case analysis and financial / management reporting in support of projects and corporate objectives
* Act as the liaison between Advanced Manufacturing and business segment Manufacturing Finance with active involvement in key performance indicators, LCC cost drivers, process and accounting closing calendar integration
* Drives, and leads through influence, to standardize and consolidate cost estimating and cost control across the business units to reduce waste, reduce cycle time and improve accuracy and accountability.
* Be recognized as a trusted advisor to senior leaders and stakeholders through excellence in business case development, data modeling, and scenario planning.
* Provide ad-hoc analytical support on cross-functional projects and capital supplier negotiations
* Lead a robust post-completion cost audit process to ensure learning and continuous improvement.
* Be a key contributor and member of TPM-EM pillar steering team

JOB REQUIREMENTS

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

* 4 year degree with a focus in business, operations, or equivalent combination of technical training or experience. Finance / Accounting strongly preferred.
* Working knowledge of Microsoft office suite
* Excellent written and verbal English communications skills

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

* 5-years' experience in international projects / construction
* Working knowledge of SAP
* Proven people leadership experience in high-performance teams
* Previous experience in an improvement driven business, TPM, Lean, Six Sigma

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

* Demonstrated track record of results, strong commercial orientation, with thorough understanding of financial statements, especially cash flow and cash generation, cost reduction, productivity, and working capital.
* Knowledge of various estimating techniques
* Understanding of cost control and reports
* Ability to maintain / understand database systems, cost files, other file and data systems (including, but not limited to, Sage, SAP, MS Office suite, Box, SQL, MS Project, etc.)
* Business Partner: Strong ability to build business partnerships across the company and influence and participate in decisions of senior management.
* Leadership and communication skills: Demonstrated executive presence that enhances relationships with senior management and all stakeholders. Positive influencing skills, able to interact with professionals in various functional areas to resolve issues throughout the organization. Outstanding written and verbal communication skills. Communicates in a manner that encourages an ongoing dialogue with complete candor that builds trust and encourages creativity within the team.

* Project Management Leadership: Demonstrated ability to lead all commercial aspects of complex projects to successful and on-time completion. Thorough knowledge of the principles and practices of budget formulation, administration, capital program budgeting, resource allocation, program and supplier evaluation, and reporting.
