We have an opening for a Staff Electrical Power Engineer (Lunar Missions) to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals in the Tactical Space organization. This position will be located in Dulles, VA or Gilbert, AZ.
In this role you will support power subsystem work for deep space application. You will work with a team of seasoned engineers to evaluate applications of power avionics.
Duties amp; Responsibilities:
* Analyze and interpret requirements and apply them to the design and development of a power architecture
* Complete power subsystem trade studies for best application from a technical, schedule and cost perspective
* Cross-Collaborate with multiple development projects and team members to reach common solutions
* Lead the design and development of power avionics components
* Lead proposals and costing efforts in support of power subsystem application for deep space exploration

Qualification
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor rsquo;s degree in a STEM field (preferably Electrical Engineering) with 14 years of experience; Master rsquo;s degree with 12 years of experience; or PhD with 9 years of experience
Experience with power subsystems, both low and high voltage
Experience with application of avionics components in cold environments
Experience in design, analyses, and/or application of power management and/or distribution electronic assemblies
Experience generating engineering cost estimates
Preferred Qualifications:
Application of power subsystems for spaceflight application including manned spaceflight
Extensive knowledge of power architectures
Experience leading proposals
