Northrop Grumman Space Systems is seeking a Systems Engineer to join the team. This position will be located in Roy, Utah or Colorado Springs, CO and will support the Ground Based Strategic Deterrent (GBSD) program. Learn more about the GBSD program here. Northrop Grumman supports the Air Force rsquo;s sustainment, development, production and deployment of hardware and system modifications for Intercontinental Ballistic Missile (ICBM) Ground and Airborne Launch Control Systems, Launch Facilities and associated infrastructure.

Roles and responsibilities:

The selected engineer will be responsible for developing requirement verification plans for a large, complex system. The engineer will perform requirements and system architecture analysis, derive test requirements, develop detailed model-based test plans, and develop and report metrics. This individual will work in a collaborative environment requiring to work with architecture, product design, and test teams across all system functions.

Responsibilities includes but not limited to:

Develop detailed Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) test plans

Support Longer-term, objective-based assignments

Work on problem resolution and make process improvement recommendations

Occasional travel to Northrop Grumman and Government locations within the United States

This positions standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.

Qualification

You rsquo;ll Bring These Qualifications:

* Bachelors in Science in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Math) discipline from an ABET accredited university and 5 years of engineering experience with BS or 3 years with MS or 0 years with PhD
* A current DoD Secret clearance awarded/adjudicated within the last 6 years
* Effectively communicate and present to project and program management, other technical managers and customers
* Ability and desire to rapidly learn a complex system spanning many engineering disciplines
* Ability to break down complex behaviors and functions into testable components
* Ability to exemplify continuous learning and self-growth
* Ability to comfortably work with geographically dispersed teams

These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:

* Direct experience in Model Based Systems Engineering principles, approaches, and tools
* Exposure to the Agile methodology, particularly in a systems engineering domain
* Experience using requirements management tools
* Experience in test and verification planning of large systems of both hardware and software
* Excellent technical writing skills and team building skills
* Demonstrated communication skills and flexibility

Salary Range

Salary Min $92,000

Salary Max $138,000
