The Advanced Concepts and Technologies (AC amp;T) group of Northrop Grumman Mission Systems Sector is seeking a Semiconductor Equipment Engineer for our Advanced Technology Lab (ATL) - located outside of Baltimore, Maryland ndash; where we design, manufacture, and test semiconductor products for internal and commercial production customers as well as emerging technology programs.

Northrop Grumman rsquo;s ATL semiconductor foundry is a unique capability supporting a range of production microelectronic devices (Silicon, Gallium Arsenide, Gallium Nitride, Silicon Carbide, and Carbon Nanotubes) and providing leading edge technology development in superconducting electronics. Our devices enable a number of Northrop Grumman rsquo;s ground based radars, avionic radars, and space systems.

Our multidisciplinary foundry team enables activities from development to sustainment process engineering. ATL is
responsible for all aspects of semiconductor technology including design, mask making, wafer fabrication, test, and assembly.

The Semiconductor Equipment Engineer will lead and manage engineering projects such as equipment layout, cleanroom construction and installation of semiconductor equipment at Northrop Grumman 39;s semiconductor foundry in Baltimore.

Responsibilities include all aspects of facilities and factory layout for foundry equipment. The chosen candidate will develop and apply continuous improvement programs for existing foundry equipment; and be responsible for all aspects of project management including working with and direction contractors/sub-contractors along with alignment with management. May be responsible for the running a group or groups of tools, from day to day operations up to and including service contracts with vendors.

Minimal travel - one to three short trips per year.

Qualification

Basic Qualifications:
-Must have a Bachelor 39;s degree in Electrical Engineering, Materials, Chemistry, Physics, or related technical discipline with minimum of 2 years relevant experience or Masters degree with 0 yrs experience
-Experience with fab facility, equipment installation, and maintenance
-Demonstrated ability to work with cross organizational teams such as engineering, line maintenance and building maintenance
-Must be US Citizen

Preferred Qualifications:
-2 years experience working with semiconductor fabrication equipment in any of the following areas: Photolithography, Wets, CVD, PVD, Implant, Diffusion, Test or Assembly
-Experience with AutoCAD design
-Experience interfacing with vendors for equipment repairs, service contracts, and purchase preferred
