This is an opportunity to become part of the Advanced Land Sensors Contracts team located in Linthicum, Maryland. Northrop Grumman is seeking an experienced and motivated professional for an entry level role in Contract Administration.
Roles and responsibilities of the Contracts Representative will encompass the following:
* Review and approve changes to performance measurement baseline as required.
* Support audits, reviews, fact-finding, and negotiation support requested by programs, customers, and company management.
* Maintain and update contract documents and official program records, including contractual documents and correspondence
* Research contract issues and prepare analysis with citations
* Provide direct contract support, review contractual documents to ensure protection of company 39;s contractual/risk posture, satisfaction of contractual requirements and adherence to company policies.
* Administer, extend, negotiate and terminate standard and nonstandard contracts.
* Conduct proposal preparation, contract negotiation, contract administration, contract closeout and customer contact activities to provide for proper contract acquisition and fulfillment in accordance with company policies, legal requirements, and customer specifications.
* Develop proposal packages, in a timely manner and in accordance with established procedures
* Provide proposal support including taking an active role in creating contract proposal volumes, supporting fact finding and the negotiation process.
* Maintain and provide status and tracking information on customer requests
* Work cooperatively with the technical staff to address customer requests
Candidates must be able to make sound decisions in a timely manner, display strong interpersonal skills, possess solid written and verbal communication skills, and have an agile perspective or compliance protocol mandated by regulated industry.

Qualifications - External
Basic Qualifications:
* A Bachelor 39;s degree and 3 years of successful experience in Contract Administration, and/or Business Management or related field or 1 years with a Master 39;s Degree or J.D.
* Analytical approach to problem-solving and decision-making
* Proficient in use of Microsoft Office including Excel and Word
* Demonstrated proficiency and strength with verbal, written, PC, presentation and communications skills
* Demonstrated leadership, critical thinking and, innovative behaviors in past projects, roles, or experiences
* The willingness and ability to travel domestically up to 10% of the time.
* The ability to obtain and maintain a US Secret level security clearance is required. US citizenship is a prerequisite.
Preferred Qualifications:
* Knowledge of the FAR, DFAR and other U.S. Federal Government contracting regulations
* Experience reading and Interpreting legal and contractual requirements
* Strong interpersonal skills
* Familiarity with SAP
