Job Description

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

* Analyze and administer the day-to-day operation of the U.S. retirement programs, including 401(k) plan, NQDC plan, DB plan, and union retirement plans in accordance with plan documents and established procedures.
* Serve as the subject matter expert and point of contact for HR and the Benefits Service Center for all U.S. retirement plans.
* Reconcile and process the weekly payroll 401(k) and NQDC contribution funding. Review, analyze and resolve errors on the weekly interface files. Work closely with the HR Technology (HRT) team in the requirements set-up, changes, and maintenance of the various retirement plan interface files. Perform periodic system audits (weekly, monthly, quarterly, annually) of the retirement plans to ensure elections, payroll deductions, demographic data, and processes are running as expected.
* Maintain knowledge of government regulations to ensure plans stays in compliance with regulatory changes in a timely manner.
* Responsible for coordinating between both internal departments and external vendors the completion of reporting, disclosure and compliance requirements including:
1. Testing ADP/ACP non-discriminatory testing
2. Preparing government reporting 5500s
3. Annual employee notices SARs, SPD, SMMs, AFN, etc.
4. Internal audits and external audits

Education and Skills

* Bachelors degree in Human Resources or related field
* Minimum of 3 years experience with defined benefit, defined contribution and deferred compensation plans
* Knowledge of IRS compliance requirements for retirement plan functions,
* Intermediate Excel skills must have experience with VLOOKUPs and pivot tables
* Excellent planning and organizational ability to plan and prioritize work activities and multiple projects
* Ability to work independently, exercising sound judgement and decision-making skills
* Strong analytical skills as well as superior attention to detail and accuracy.
* Strong written and oral skills. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from employees and management.
* CEBS or CBP certification preferred.
