Job Description

Sequenom, part of Integrated Genetics, a division of LabCorp's Specialty Testing Group, is focused on women's healthcare tests and non-invasive prenatal testing (NIPT). This lab specializes in reproductive clinical laboratory testing with CLIA/CAP/NYS and ISO Accreditation. We are seeking a Purchasing Specialist to join our team in San Diego, CA. The purchasing specialist will be responsible for managing inventory levels, forecasting inventory, and processing and expediting purchase orders for a variety of materials to support the clinical laboratory operations.

Responsibilities:

* Process and expedite purchase orders
* Research and resolve problems associated with purchase order processing
* Analyze pre-negotiated contracts
* Manage inventory levels. Review and maintain min/max and safety stock inventory levels to support changes in production plans and material usage
* Forecast inventory of supplies
* Interface with other department management to identify, communicate and resolve planning related problems

Requirements

* HS Diploma or equivalent
* 2+ years of relevant experience
* Previous experience with Oracle and Peoplesoft highly preferred
* Strong vendor negotiation skills desired
* Proficient with MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
