Position Summary:
To provide excellent customer service in alignment with The Kroger Co.'s Friendly and Fresh Customer 1st philosophy in the Pharmacy Department. To assist in leading the store Pharmacy Team's execution of various tasks and projects as it relates to our company's objectives. To be a strategic partner with other store departments and to model the core behaviors of our leadership model. Role model and demonstrate the company's core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion and safety of others.
Essential Job Functions:
* Model and coach the 3 A's of customer service (Acknowledge, Assist, Appreciate).
* Provide customer service that makes both existing and new customers feel welcome, important and appreciated.
* Effectively handle and resolve customer concerns and issues through offering exemplary customer service
* Read and communicate business information like Nashville News (published daily, Monday thru Friday) and Weekly Update Newsletter (published on Thursday) as expected of all pharmacy associates.
* Regulatory Compliance - Demonstrate and coach behaviors that support 100% regulatory compliance.
* Monitor licensure status of pharmacy associates monthly and notify Pharmacy Manager of action needed
* Clinical Services - actively engage pharmacy customers about clinical services offered and participate in MTM scheduling, documentation, and billing.
* Inventory Control - ordering and returns, supply orders, preparation for physical inventory, and overall execution of inventory best practices.
* Key Retailing Best Practices - Model and coach behaviors that are aligned with Key Retailing best practices.
* Central Fill - processing orders received/returned and tracking invoices
* Scheduling - assist Pharmacy Manager as directed in scheduling labor effectively and in alignment with Key Retailing best practices
* Third Party - thorough knowledge of thirty party billing procedures (including Medicare) and support in preparation for and execution of Third Party audits.
* Mentoring - encourage, monitor, and assist new technicians in on the job training.
* Pharmacy Standards - foster teamwork in consistent execution of Nashville Division Pharmacy Standards
* Assist with special projects at the direction of the Pharmacy Manager
* Must be able to perform essential functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodations.
Minimum Position Qualifications:
* Pharmacy Technician with 1 year experience
* Active PTCB certification (or become certified within 6 months)
* Flexible to cover needs of the business including nights, weekends and holidays
* Excellent phone and communication skills, good typing, and organization skills.
* Must hold and maintain active state pharmacy technician registration.
* Proficient in Excel and Word, with the ability to learn new computer skills.
* Customer service role model.
* Self-motivated, able to prioritize, plan and meet deadlines.
* Must be professional, dependable, possess positive attitude, good judgment, and be able to gain the support of others.
* Ability to travel independently as needed.
Desired Previous Job Experience:
* 2 years as a PTCB nationally certified pharmacy technician
* Previous experience in multiple stores
* Previous supervisory experience
Education Level: High School Diploma/ GED Required
Required Certifications/Licenses: Pharmacy Technician Certification
