PRINCIPAL OBJECTIVES:
Participates in launch program concepting, development, and the execution process for new products in assigned categories.
Proactively manages department data, including program recaps, product history, cost information, and sales analysis for assigned categories.
Spearheads the communication and collaboration process across departments to assist the Manager and Executive Director in delivering products and programs on time and on budget.
ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Partners with all necessary support groups on assigned projects, including Global Brand Supply Chain, Finance, Forecasting, Product Development, Packaging, Design, Creative, Visual Merchandising, PR, Education, and Consumer Engagement.
Responsible for providing affiliates with timely information on all calendarized programs; liaises regularly with affiliate Marketing teams to ensure programs meet regional/market needs. Includes responsibility for overseeing accuracy and timely issuance of all Planning Guides, Flashes, and Creative Dossiers.
Prepares necessary launch paperwork including Program Briefs, Creative Briefs and Job Starts, and copy requests for assigned categories/projects.
Aggressively monitors project timelines and deliverables, working with key internal partners to ensure category programs, requests, and product launches adhere to deadlines and costs.
Analyzes the competitive environment and internal data to help develop product recommendations.
Prepares global category analysis, cost objectives, pricing analysis and sales analysis.
Actively monitors category data as key point person on category performance including shipments, sell-thru, cost of goods, SKU count, pricing and product/sample forecasts.
Participates in the preparation of materials for key presentations.
Develops agenda and recaps all regularly scheduled meetings to ensure appropriate next steps are taken.
Qualifications
Position requires 2-3 years post-undergraduate experience (preference for consumer products marketing or consulting).
Must have very strong Excel and PowerPoint skills.
Should be a self-starter, accountable and highly organized with the ability to handle multiple projects at one time.
Must possess strong analytical, creative, and oral and written communication skills.
Must possess pro-active critical thinking skills and the ability to take initiative, anticipate next steps and offer recommendations and solutions.
Must be team player with the ability to build, foster and nurture relationships with members of cross-functional and affiliate teams.
Must be highly detail-oriented with unprompted follow-through.
Should demonstrate strong work ethic and a passion for the cosmetics industry.
