We are currently looking for an ambitious MLT for a flexible, PRN position on our patient-centered Lab TEam.
The MLT's primary responsibility is the accurate and timely performance of laboratory tests along with providing quality control guidance, preventive maintenance of equipment computer activities, and collection of specimens
What you will do in this role:
* You will order testing, label tubes, process and stores specimens according to established protocols. .
* You will perform waived and non-waived, automated and manual testing according to strict written protocol.
* You will perform testing in all lab sections (if indicated) which includes blood bank, microbiology, hematology, urinalysis, coagulation, serology, and chemistry.
* You will perform timely reads and sign SOPs, and may train co-workers.
Qualifications
* Medical Laboratory Technician -Must be certified from a nationally recognized clinical laboratory regulatory agency (ASCP, AMT, or NCA) or prove eligibility to sit for certification exam.
* General requirements are at least an Associate's degree from an accredited institution
* Knowledge of all areas of stat testing in assigned sections and technical skills to perform all activities involved in lab sections where assigned.is required.
