The HCA Capital Transfer Center handles the patient movement and logistics for 19 HCA hospitals and free-standing emergency rooms across a 4 state region including Virginia, Kentucky, Indiana, and New Hampshire. Located in Richmond, Virginia our mission is to assist in the clinical placement and movement of critical patients both into and out of our facilities providing timely access to care for our patients when minutes matter the most. The transfer center is staffed 24/7 with seasoned clinical professionals who collaborate between physicians, hospitals, and other immediate health care settings to coordinate the timely movement of high acuity patients such as STEMI, stroke, trauma, neonatal care, and so forth.

As a manager of the team:

* You will manage the daily staffing and operational needs of the transfer center
* You will process and generates daily, weekly, and monthly reports for distribution to key stakeholders
* You will hire and maintain appropriate staffing levels and utilization of personnel; ensures the highest quality of professional skill
* You will manage staff professional development, including training, employee assessment and on-going examination of staff effectiveness and progress
* You will work collaboratively with other hospital departments and external curtomers to develop and implement clinically sound and efficient transfers
* You will be proficient in critical electronic applications such as Teletracking, Meditech, and other office-oriented systems
* You will be responsible for ensuring that staff is proficient in the understanding of EMTALA regulation.
* You will document all transfers, diversions, cancelations and refusals
* You will establish and maintain a high degree of awareness and knowledge of participating HCA Capital Division facilities, medical staff and special programs
* You will participates in various marketing, outreach and community focused activities
* You will assist in data collection, monitoring, evaluation, and analyzing problems for the purpose of developing and implementing protocols, policies and procedures

Qualifications

Education and Requirements:

* Graduate from an accredited ADN or Diploma nursing program
* Current license to practice professional nursing in the state of Virginia
* Minimum 3-5 years progressive leadership experience

Preferences:

* BSN or Bachelors degree in nursing
* 2 years of Critical Care nursing to include ED, ICU and/or House Supervisor experience
