We are seeking a Non-Technical Coordinator like you to join our organization.

You Will:

* Demonstrate a thorough understanding of specimen collection and testing requirements
* Perform venipunctures and/or fingersticks on pediatric, neonatal, adults and geriatric patients, and heelsticks on infants
* Review Outstanding Specimen Report (OSR) and pending specimen collections/accessioning issues
* Centrifuge and aliquot specimens appropriately
* Prepare specimens to be ready for courier pick-up and includes special instructions as requested by physician orders
* Collect chain-of-custody drug collections according to establish policy (as laboratory may require)
* Process, sort, and prepare specimens for submission to referral laboratories for testing in accordance with specimen requirements for tests ordered
* Train new non-technical personnel for the facility.

Qualifications

You Should Have:

* A completed high school diploma or GED
* A vocational/technical diploma
* A phlebotomy certificate is beneficial
* 3 years of previous experience in clinical laboratory setting
* The ability to work during disasters
