Position Summary: The Tele Tech performs duties in accordance with the philosophy, goal and objectives of North Suburban Medical Center. The Tele Tech monitors, documents and appropriately reports the patients cardiac rhythm and pulse ox as needed. The Tele Tech may rotate to other than his or her home department and will perform only those duties for which he or she has demonstrated competency. The Tele Tech performs delegated duties consistent within their scope of practice. The patient population on the telemetry unit is adult and geriatric.

Experience:

* 1-2 years Telemetry skills and interpretation of rhythm strips preferred.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

* Demonstrates good organizational skills.
* Performs order telemetry skills accurately within standards of practice.
* Displays appropriate judgment and problem solving skills.
* Communicates positively and professionally with all internal and external customers.
