We are seeking an Float Pool PACU Nurse for our ambulatory surgery centers to ensure that we continue to provide all patients with high quality, efficient care. The Float Pool PACU Nurse contributes to the companys mission and vision by utilizing the nursing process in planning, executing, and evaluating the nursing care rendered postoperatively until patient is dismissed from the facility.

What you will do in this role:

* You will rotate to other ambulatory surgery center facilities

* Demonstrate necessary practical, technical or specialized knowledge and skills required for the role of the post-operative nurse in accordance with patient care and regulatory standards of practice

* Prepare patient care area adequately and ensure availability of necessary equipment and supplies

* Recognize signs and symptoms of patients condition that indicate potential post procedure or anesthesia related complications and report to anesthesiologist immediately

* Monitor and maintain proper intravenous intake and output

* Perform head to toe assessment of patient and evaluate patient utilizing approved scoring system upon admission and as indicated by policy

* Document patient assessment upon admission

Qualifications

Qualifications you will need:

* Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing

* Minimum 2 years experience in a PACU or ICU setting; preferably in an ambulatory surgery center

* Additional specialty experience may be required as per facility practices (i.e. Pediatric, GI, etc)

* Active RN license as required by state of employment or appropriate compact licensure

* Valid BCLS & ACLS Certifications required upon employment (online certification not acceptable)

* PALS (Within 90 days, or earlier per department arrangement)
