POSITION SUMMARY:

The Supply Chain Technician II will act as a resource individual to coordinate the daily activities of requisitioning in order to meet the procurement demands of the hospital and the off-site facilities. This position will work in concerted effort with the departmental staff to provide for the timely acquisition and distribution of stock and non-stock supplies, equipment, and services and compliance with established corporate contracts is the primary responsibility of this position.

Qualifications

EDUCATION: Must be a high school graduate. College level courses or related experience desired.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

This position requires the following minimal requirements:

High degree of accuracy.

Customer orientation establishes and maintains long-term customer relationships, building trust and respect by consistently meeting and exceeding expectations

Basic skills able to perform basic mathematical calculations, balance and reconcile figures, punctuate properly, spell correctly and transcribe accurately

Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.

Exhibits professional manner necessary to work effectively with a diverse group of healthcare professionals.

Demonstrates initiative, willingness and flexibility necessary for working against constant deadlines in a fast pace, high volume environment.

Demonstrates Knowledge in use of computerized inventory systems.

Ability to work with minimal supervision and utilize time effectively; self motivated.

Good organizational and computer skills.

Detail oriented.

Demonstrates ability to type 45 wpm and 105 KSPM.

Comprehensive knowledge of medical supplies and equipment desired.

EXPERIENCE:

Minimum of three years experience in a medically related supply position, preferably in a hospital setting.

Prior experience with computerized inventory control systems preferred.
