As the Senior Application Engineer, you must be an experienced business solutions architect with a strong track record in successfully transforming business processes using IT proven tools. You will need extensive Microsoft .NET Framework development and architecture experience and Microsoft stack technology background that includes familiarity and experience with a broad range of software development best practices, architecture patterns, technologies, frameworks and tools such as Visual Studio, SCM, CI, MS SQL Server, MVC, jQuery, CSS, Bootstrap, SaaS, Enterprise, Multi-threaded software, REST, Azure, and more. As the Application Engineer you are responsible for designing, developing and implementing programs and applications. Also perform prototyping, application tests and code reviews to ensure product is satisfactory.
THIS IS A REMOTE POSITION. We are based in Nashville, TN but can consider candidates located in the Northeast and Central Regions of the U.S.
What will you do in this role?
* Design, develop, document, test, and debug new and existing software systems and/or applications for market sale or large-scale proprietary software for internal use.
* Support, maintain, and document software functionality.
* Participate in software design meetings and analyze user needs to determine technical requirements. Consult with end user to prototype, refine, test, and debug programs to meet needs.
* Proficient in handling the complex of technical development concepts, latest software tools and technologies.
* Assist in identifying and evaluating new technologies for implementation.
* Experience in troubleshooting, full life-cycle software development processes and ability to understand and implement client requirements.
* Exhibit understanding in how to break down business requirements into implementations using best practices, latest libraries and APIs, and preferred design patterns.
* Serve as technical expert on development projects.
Qualifications
EWhat qualification will you need:
* 4+ years of development experience using C and .NET framework
* Experience in web development (HTML, CSS, JavaScript)
* Experience with Microsoft IIS/Windows, or equivalent server platforms
* Strong understanding of Object Oriented Programming and Design
* .NET MVC/MVVM experience preferred
* Well versed in client-side scripting (JavaScript, jQuery, AJAX/JSON)
* Experience with Azure ecosystems
* Experience implementing automated testing platforms and unit tests
* Being comfortable and proficient in a dynamic, agile team environment
* Familiarity working with Relational Database Systems preferred
* Experience with Azure Dev Ops / Team Services
* Strong written and verbal communication skill
* Experience with Agile programming preferred
