About the role:
As a member of the Global Enterprise Excellence team, partner with each BSC Manufacturing and Supply Chain site to continuously innovate and increase maturity of Operational Excellence, Strategic Quality Process, Essentials, and best practices to deliver Value Improvement. Support strategic goals, including Gross Margin Optimization to achieve to top-tier performance.
Your responsibilities include:
* Coach and partner with leadership and working teams of mature and acquired sites to advance the adoption of continuous improvement and innovation through application of Continuous Improvement Essentials, including Lean and LBP Essentials.
* Drive the Global Operational Excellence Strategy and Gross Margin Optimization program by:
* Identifying common site strategic priorities, leveraging results from global roll-up of Essentials Strategic Assessments, internal best practices, and external benchmarking of innovative next-level tools and methods.
* Partnering with Operations Lean, LBP, and VIP Council members to enable global implementation.
* Project managing enterprise-wide programs, including Leaders Standard Work, electronic Continuous Improvement Board, and Reinvigorate VIP global StAR.
* Leading change management and communication through site engagements, Global StAR (Strategic Activity Review), Global Operational Excellence Steering Committee, etc.
* Own the global Continuous Improvement Essentials, with Subject Matter Expertise in Lean Essentials and Lean Business Process (LBP) Essentials. Scope includes guidebooks, website content, Essentials toolbox content, and Essentials training.
* Partner with Operations site leads/trainers to facilitate best-in-class Lean, LBP, and VIP training. Ensure global availability of training courses, in a timely manner.
* Lead the annual Engineering Standards update process, by driving global policy adoption, standards accuracy, communication, and streamlined implementation.
* Serve as internal consultant, advising leadership and working teams on Operational Excellence maturity roadmaps, targeted training, connecting to global best practices, coaching of Essentials, and other engagements advancing the adoption of Operational Excellence and high performance.
* As needed, lead site-specific initiatives to support strategic advancement of Operational Excellence (i.e. instant offense).
* Identify and drive internal/external Lean and LBP benchmarking opportunities to improve BSC processes/toolkits in order to drive safety, quality, service and cost improvements. Partner with external organizations (e.g. Shingo Institute) to foster continued learning, benchmarking and operational best practices.
* Facilitate face to face and virtual workshops to target key enterprise improvements and provide prioritized site support to drive strategic business priorities
What were looking for in you:
* BS/BA Degree in Industrial Engineering or related field and/or equivalent experience.
* Masters preferred.
* 8+ years of Lean or Continuous Improvement related experience.
* Proven results applying Lean/Continuous Improvement in manufacturing and transactional environments.
* Demonstrated strong project management skills.
* Effectively summarize and analyze data; make recommendations.
* Travel globally about 25%
