About the Role:
Exciting opportunity for an extrusion engineer in a Manufacturing Engineering role as a technology and change leader. Role leads initiatives for the development and commercialization of new products and technologies as well as daily support of commercial products, processes, materials, and equipment to achieve production goals (i.e., quality, delivery, cost, productivity, and safety) .
Your Responsibilities Will Include:
* Work cooperatively with Process Development, R&D, Quality, Production, Regulatory, Equipment Engineering, Supply Chain, and Marketing on complex projects to ensure project success.
* Successfully complete complex engineering work and contribute to new product development teams and product support, typically including the following activities: technology development, test of materials or products, preparation of specifications, Six Sigma, process study, process improvements, and report preparation.
* Apply problem solving and process improvement methodologies to improve complex and diverse manufacturing processes across multiple product lines, ensuring root cause of problem is identified and quickly resolved
* Support development and execution of new equipment and technology from design to implementation
* Consistently generate innovative and unique solutions to meet department goals.
* Summarize, analyze, and draw conclusions from complex test results.
* Design and prepare complex reports and communicate results to the technical community.
* Coordinate, manage, and document project goals and progress and recommend appropriate revisions.
* Assess the feasibility and soundness of proposed engineering evaluation tests, products, or equipment.
* Complete and manage complex Capital Equipment Request Authorizations (CERAs).
* Lead cross-functional project teams.
* Lead in the identification, implementation, and management of production goals.
* Mentor junior engineers

Minimum Qualifications
* Bachelors degree in Engineering required
* 5-8 years related manufacturing engineering
* Extrusion knowledge and experience
* Experience troubleshooting and solving advanced technical problems and manufacturing processes
* Direct or indirect people leadership
* Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously
* Lean manufacturing experience required
* Experience with Minitab or other statistical software
* Equipment and process validation experience
* Ability to work as part of a team and meet targets/goals efficiently.
* Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
* The ability to understand, interpret, follow, and improve Quality Systems
Preferred Qualifications
* Plastics Engineering, Polymer Science, or Chemical Engineering background
* Medical device or heavily regulated industry experience
* Excellent project management, communication, and leadership skills.
* Excellent analytical skills.
* Excellent interpersonal communication skills
* Strong verbal and written communication and presentation skills
