Overview

If you want hands on experience working in Information Technology (IT) for one of largest off-price retailers in the nation, join the nationally-ranked Burlington Stores, Inc. IT internship program! Are you a full-time student pursuing your Bachelors degree? Do you have at least a 3.0 GPA? Are you interested in a career as an IT professional? Are you a self-motivated, team player, with strong planning, organizational and communication skills? If so, this may be the right opportunity for you!

As an IT intern, youll work in one of our HQ Campus facilities located in Florence or Edgewater Park, NJ with the opportunity to explore our Infrastructure internship track. This wont be your typical internship experience making copies and getting coffee!

Throughout the comprehensive 10-week summer program, youll be partnered with an experienced member of the IT team, who will serve as your buddy for support and guidance as you work in the fun and fast-paced world of IT in off-price retail! You will have the opportunity to work side by side with knowledgeable professionals, gaining practical knowledge, skills, and an understanding of ITs role in supporting many of our companys goals.

Throughout the summer, you will participate in Leadership Development Seminars, Classroom-style trainings in areas related to your program, tours of our stores and distribution centers, and community service projects not to mention a variety of team-building social activities to help you get to know your intern class (including an Technology specific group project with your fellow IT Interns!)

Upon graduation, many alumni of our internship program go on to join our team as full-time associates, either rejoining the team where they completed their internship program or in a different branch of the organization! We are a rapidly growing brand, providing a variety of professional development opportunities so our associates can grow with us.

Infrastructure Track IT Support Center and Tech Services rotation As an infrastructure intern you will gain firsthand knowledge of the inner workings of what it takes to support IT Systems in a fast paced Retail business. Your time will be spent supporting our Stores, Distribution Centers, Corporate, and Field associates, rotating between our IT Support Center and Corporate Tech Services teams. Through these experiences you will also have exposure to various Networking, Security, Telecomm, and Systems support approaches. You will participate in the team meetings and have opportunities to shadow other IT technical areas that can help determine the direction of your professional career.

Our IT Support Center is a critical support component of our business, handling over 100,000 incidents a year. Working on our IT Support Center, you will work on the front lines of our support team as a Support Technician. Some of the experience you can expect to gain:

* An understanding of basic troubleshooting techniques, managing situations, and customer interaction skills that could impact the productivity of systems and associates.

* Leverage various knowledgebase and technical resources to solve technical problems remotely.

* Contribute to projects, process improvements and be part of a great team environment!

Our Tech Services team offers face-to- face technical support to our associates in Corporate Offices and Distribution Centers. As a member of this team, you will have the opportunity to work throughout our campus locations with:

* An opportunity to work in our corporate environment and fine tune your technical and customer interaction skills.

* Assignments to meaningful projects that support the organizations rapid growth including deploying some of the latest technology

Candidates must be full-time students pursuing a Bachelors degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering (or related field) and must have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above .
