Overall Purpose: Leads the strategy, planning, and execution of highly complex internal and external communications teams.
Key roles and responsibilities: May include, but are not limited to, strategic plans, content development, media relations, video and digital asset creation, social media, news site placement and content development and employee communications. Provides executive level counsel and support. Manages the company employee communications programs. May be company spokesperson to media representatives or community relations issues. Areas of responsibility include preparation and publication of several or most of the following: articles, microsites, rotating ads, banner ads, news releases, employee newsletters, brochures, web sites, employee handbooks, social media content, and materials for employee conferences and seminars. Must maintain a high-level understanding of industry trends, as well as the companys priorities, issues and news to ensure effective contributions to communications planning and execution. Expected to create cross-functional teams with peers and managers at all levels across business units to lead public relations work. Responsible for developing and implementing public relations programs. Responsible for speeches and scripts to communicate and influence company policies and programs both internally and externally using various means of mass communications. Recognized by internal and external associates for high level expertise. Involved in corporate public and community relations programs. Provides information to senior and executive management on general business and national media press issues.
AT&T and TPG signed an agreement to form a new entity, DIRECTV, which will own and operate AT&Ts U.S. video unit consisting of DIRECTV (consumer and business satellite services), AT&T TV and U-verse TV (excluding U-verse network assets). When the transaction closes, the job you are applying for will become part of the New DIRECTV. Transaction is expected to close in the second half of 2021.
