Job Description

SUMMARY: 

This position is located at Polartec Dyeing & Finishing Plant in Cleveland, TN and reports to the Plant Cost Leader. The position provides administrative support for the following areas: managing supplies, invoicing, purchase orders, shipping/receiving.

MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS:

High school diploma or equivalent
Proficient in Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and SAP
Knowledge of basic mechanical parts and tools
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
Knowledge of all general plant safety rules
Manage all stock in the supply room (verifications, stocking and communicating to requisitioners)
Responsible for the cleanliness and organization of the supply room (5S)
Assist associates with purchase of stock, control and special-order items
Process special purchase orders for projects (Engineering Services)
Maintain Open PO files daily
Receive all packages at dock or supply room and verify packing slips
Process all receiving documents and service tickets in SAP
Process return of goods and complete necessary paperwork
Monitor, research and resolve outstanding issues in SAP transactions (receipt and invoice error resolution)

Process invoices, credit memos and vendor payment adjustments (VPAs)
Work with suppliers / vendors to resolve issues
Work with corporate accounting to address any opportunities with Workflow, Accruals, Invoices, etc.
Research supply availability, pricing, and lead times
Monitor supply usage
Code and submit freight invoices
Identify ways to improve procedures and processes
Process all UPS and FedEx Shipments
Prepare check request as needed
Coordinate and conduct Annual Physical Inventory of Supply Room
Follow proper policies and procedures set out by department and location
Ability to foster a positive working environment and to assist others when needed
Participate in Annual Physical Inventory
Provide backup to Chemical Clerk as needed

SKILL REQUIREMENTS: 

Professional communication skills for computer, phone and verbal interaction with suppliers and associates
Proficient computer skills to include Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word
Ability to comprehend written and verbal instructions
SAP experience preferred
Accounts Payable experience preferred
Must be highly organized and results driven to meet daily, weekly and period timelines
Ability to lift up to 30 lbs.
Ability to restock cabinets, bin locations and drawers
Ability to climb onto rolling stairs
Ability to operate a forklift
Ability to operate a pallet jack when required

Visual Acuity:            Ability to read documents and computer screens                                                  100% of shift
Work Environment: Ability to work in an air-conditioned supply room environment while intermittently walking through a manufacturing environment including temperatures in excess of 100 degrees Fahrenheit, humidity level in excess of 98%, 100% of shift.
