Performs research (biology, chemistry, mechanical, software, etc.) to generate analytical data for internal and/or external clients. Responsible for the investigation of new technologies and experimentation advised at the practical application of scientific theories. Assures that programs meet scientific objectives and are aligned with customer needs. Builds relationships with industry/technology key opinion leaders

Job Description

Are you interested in an internship for the Biology Systems Group for the Acoustic Droplet Ejection (ADE) technology. You will gain a better understanding of the work environment in a specific role and how it supports groundbreaking biotech research and product development. You will participate in new product development using our novel low-volume liquid handling instrumentation and platforms with a focus on high speed, noncontact dispensing for biological applications.

This is a 10-12-week program that will include working on one or more projects. This opportunity will provide you a chance to understand the working environment of the research lab in the Biotech industry.

You will operate as a fully-integrated member of a team. Your day-to-day research will focus on participating and assisting in basic research discovery projects. You will also supply to evaluating assays, technologies and platforms.

Qualifications

* Currently pursuing a four-year undergraduate degree in biology or related field
* Sophmore standing or later
* Must be available for full-time employment for 10-12 weeks during the months of June - August 2021
* General digital literacy are essential
* Good communication skills and the ability to keep accurate records

Preferred Qualifications

* Experience in an academic laboratory or lab coursework
* Desire to purse PhD or career in research
