GENERAL DESCRIPTION
Establishes and maintains the general accounting reporting and practices for the organization. Compiles and analyzes financial information to prepare and/or review necessary journal entries for properly stated ledgers and financial statements in accordance with regulations (e.g., GAAP) and company policy. May perform bookkeeping or account management duties. Includes accounts payable, cost accounting, cash management and controllership activities.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES
* Perform the following accounting-related duties: bank reconciliations, balance sheet reconciliations, journal entry preparation, journal entry posting, accounting submissions to Danaher
* Analyze financial statements to determine trends, develop estimates and review significant changes to summarize and interpret the current and projected financial positions of the company.
* Present and communicate findings to management
* Complete ad hoc assignments
* Assist in preparation for audits.
SUPPLEMENTAL RESPONSIBILITIES
* Involved in compliance testing for SOX and other audit requirements.
* Develop and implement process improvements.
* Compile information for special projects such as audit requests, tax reporting, and Danaher reporting requirements.
* Assist in the Travel and Expense credit card program.
* Assist in the ERP-related duties and tax integration implementation.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
* Project management skills and customer service initiative.
* Outstanding presentation skills in enlightening customers on accounting procedures.
* Ability to utilize principles of analytical scientific reasoning to describe problems, obtain data, validate facts, and fashion out logical conclusions.
* Ability to work under conditions of pressure and adjust to urgent situations.
* Strong interpersonal skills for interacting accountants, clients, and upper management.
* Excellent computer and business organization software proficiency.
* Good planning and organizational skills to balance and prioritize work.
* Proven ability to successfully lead others; create an environment of collaboration & teamwork.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
* Bachelors degree in Accounting / Finance required.
* 1+ years of experience in accounting required.
* Eligible to sit for CPA
