Under minimal direct supervision, can perform all phases of maintenance such as machine repair, electrical work, plumbing work, trouble-shooting, etc.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
1. Performs and documents preventative maintenance assignments, including but not limited to, CNC repairs (alignments, leveling, moving), running electrical circuits, plumbing, construction, basic HVAC, and repair of production equipment. 2. May specialize in a single area of maintenance, such as HVAC, water systems, etc. 3. Performs all phases of Maintenance. 4. Completes work requisitions to order materials and parts for repair and maintenance activities. 5. May be assigned specific projects involving plant and equipment changes; some travel may be required to support projects. 6. Moves and installs equipment. 7. May perform daily sampling of potable water systems. 8. May keep inventory of hazardous wastes. 9. Trains and assists other Maintenance team members. 10. Functions well within a team atmosphere. 11. Performs other tasks as directed by Management.

Expected Areas of Competence
Reads and interprets documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence and speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization. Reads and interprets blueprints and measuring devices such as scales, micrometers, calipers, etc. Adds, subtracts, multiplies and divides in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Uses units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance. Applies common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Deals with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. Exercises decision-making ability, advising the Department Supervisor, or designee, as needed of special concerns as they arise
Education/Experience Requirements
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); broad working knowledge of construction, electrical, and plumbing is required, has in excess of five years proven experience in general industrial maintenance. Courses and certifications to support activities may be required to meet state requirements. Must attend training to maintain certifications
