This position is responsible for the timely and safe manufacturing of powder coating products that meet the customers' needs. The incumbent is expected to contribute to solutions of problems relating to products and processes.
Major Tasks Include:
Weigh raw materials using established procedures
Operate forklift truck and pallet jacks
Set up, adjust, monitor, operate, and clean automatic and semi-automatic equipment in an efficient and safe manner
Follow all safety rules and procedures including wearing proper personal protective equipment
Participate in the safety program
Keep tools, equipment, and work areas neat and orderly
Follow all standard operating procedures
Exercise good judgment and initiative
Other duties as assigned
Basic Qualifications:
Must be able to read, write, comprehend and communicate in English
Must have the legal right to work in the country of employment without needing sponsorship now or in the future for employment work visa status
Must be at least 18 years of age
Must have access to reliable transportation to and from work
Must be able to work overtime with or without reasonable accommodation
Other Qualifications:
One year of experience working with machinery in a manufacturing environment is preferred
Experience operating packaging equipment such as robotics, filling machines, case packers, or labelers is preferred
Experience blending and making a product in a batch process is preferred
Experience monitoring quality of raw materials or finished goods is preferred
The successful candidate must also pass a pre-employment background check, physical and drug screen.
