Job Summary:
The HR Business Partner team is responsible for shaping the employee experience and championing the development of our people & organization. We serve as a consultant to business leaders on all talent matters. The HRBP team supports the needs of the business by aligning HR strategies & practices with ABC News key priorities.
The Human Resources Business Partner Internship offers an exciting opportunity to explore the world of Disney General Entertainment through meaningful and engaging projects. You will be provided with challenging assignments, performance feedback, and valuable networking opportunities. The intern will mostly assist with special projects for our HR Business Partner Team supporting ABC News.
Responsibilities:
A day in the life
* Assist with workforce insights initiatives for HR diversity and inclusion, learning & development, and employee engagement
* Work with our HR partners and News partners to facilitate special projects which may involve research and development of internal and external programs
* Act as a project liaison under the guidance of HR Business Partners for key initiatives
Basic Qualifications:
What you bring to the role
* Ability to handle and work with confidential information at all times
* Interest, experience or coursework in Human Resources, especially in Diversity & Inclusion
* Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Outlook)
* Ability to create formulas, VLOOKUP, and charts/graphs in Excel
* Strong technical and excellent communication skills
* Strong analytical skills including the ability to research and consolidate information to draw conclusions or tell a story
* Ability to create visually appealing presentations to share key findings from data
Additional Information:
* At the time of application, must be enrolled in an accredited college/university taking at least one class in the semester/quarter (spring/fall) prior to participation in the internship program OR must have graduated from a college/university within 18 months OR currently participating in a Disney Professional Internship
* Must be at least 18 years of age
* Must not have completed one year of continual employment on a Disney internship or program, concurrent to this internship
* Must possess unrestricted work authorization
Work Environment:
* This internship is a remote internship. The internship requires a working, reliable internet connection as well as a quiet, dedicated work space.
* The approximate dates of this internship are May/June 2021 through August 2021
* Candidate must be available to work 40 hours/week in Eastern Standard time for the duration of the internship
