Job Summary:
Disney Television Animation is looking for an Executive Assistant to provide administrative and departmental support for the VP of Current Series Diversity & Inclusion and two additional Current Series creative executives. This role will support the Current Series team overseeing animated shows across Disney Channels and Disney+. We are seeking an administrative professional who loves animation & story, has desire to grow into a current series executive role, and can work professionally and amicably under pressure
Responsibilities:
* Cover all telephone and scheduling needs for assigned executives
* Assist Show Executives with coverage on script submissions from prospective writers
* Stay current with industry-related news and prepare competitive reports
* Book travel and process expense reports for Current Series executives
* Develop familiarity with all projects in production and names of all relevant talent involved with each project
* Greet visitors and represent the team to other executives
* Be familiar with all appropriate network and studio teams in order to aid in scheduling and show support
* Attend staff meetings, participate as needed, and follow through as necessary
* Network with other assistants externally at management companies and internally throughout TWDC
* Manage special projects, events and presentations as required
* Establish relationships with current production crews and talent
* Book and track all school, panel, presentation, and industry event travel
* Schedule meetings with internal and external creative, production, and artistic talent
* Assist Events Supervisor in the set up/execution of all D&I networking mixers, panels, and presentations
* Manage D&I writer, school, and organization database
* Support the Current Series and D&I teams in creating presentation decks as needed
Basic Qualifications:
* Must be able to provide comprehensive story coverage, breaking down elements of story and character
* Strong creative and story skills as well as strong organizational skills
* Strong written and verbal communication skills
* Pop culture knowledge and affinity for animation and family programming
* Interest and knowledge of current kids, teens, tweens, and family programming
* Approachable with ability to professionally interface with high level executives
* Must be able to contribute ideas in a creative group atmosphere
* Proven ability to problem-solve, prioritize, and multi-task
* Curious, resourceful and self-starter
* Adept at technology, including virtual platforms (such as AirTable), and both Mac and PC systems
* Expert knowledge of Keynote and Microsoft Office Suites
* Entertainment internship, studio, network, production, and/or agency experience
Preferred Qualifications:
* A minimum of 1-year entertainment experience
* Assistant experience at an executive level
* Familiarity with relevant non-linear and social media platforms
* Passion and knowledge of the Disney brand
Required Education
* Bachelors Degree or equivalent work experience
