Sr. Manager, Business Strategy
As the Sr. Manager, Business Strategy, you will report into and support the Senior Director, Business Strategy in oversight of the strategic process and business development for the Brand. You will conduct and analyze industry, market and consumer data to assist the organization in strong decision-making, leading to brand health, sales growth and margin improvement. You will have the opportunity to support areas such as new product initiatives, strategic brand management, continuous process improvement and brand expansion.
How You Will Make a Difference
What you will do:
* Lead strategy consulting-like projects that identify and seek to harness brand, regional or functional growth opportunities. Work with business leaders to offer a disciplined process to define, communicate, activate, execute and manage strategic choices and initiatives that will drive achievement of short and long-term goals.
* Actively support the Senior Director, Business Strategy and the Global Brand Leadership team in developing a long-term strategic vision, five-year global brand strategy and annual strategic plan, working with the organization to formally develop, cascade and communicate the strategic choices.
* Interact with VF Corporate Strategy function, as necessary, to ensure strategy development approach interfaces and aligns with enterprise-wide standards
How you will do it:
* Leverage consumer, market, competitive and financial data and conduct analysis to build strategies and evaluate new business opportunities. Identify, quantify, validate and assess adjacent and white space opportunities that strengthen market position and align with brand growth objectives.
* Bring your unique and diverse experiences and background, which enable you to provide differing perspectives to fuel our global growth. You are inclusive by nature and you value differing points of view. You expand the teams knowledge base in one or more focus areas (e. g., functional, innovation, competitive intelligence)
* Build and manage relationships with company executives, influencing decisions in line with functional, regional and global brand strategy. Support business leaders in vetting strategic ideas. Partner in identifying growth opportunities and develop plans for executive initiatives, including line extensions into new categories, new distributions segments and new geographies.
* Actively contribute to the Strategy teams culture.

Years of Related Professional Experience: 5-7 years
Educational Position Requirements:
A formal education and subsequent undergraduate/graduate degrees are nice to have, but we are most interested in your total experience and professional achievements.

* Self-starter and able to take projects from concept to completion effectively and efficiently
* Ability to work independently and lead teams, managing both up and down.
* Ability to lead through influence and work with counterparts across the organization Track record of success in dealing effectively with complex projects and teams, including frequent interaction with senior executives
* Strong conceptual skills, including ability to translate consumer insights and observations into actionable opportunities. Strong analytical skills including ability to model complex financial data, synthesize findings and derive insights. Strong leadership skills including problem solving, issue disaggregation, listening and communication (written and spoken).
* You will have the keen ability to lead and navigate teams through change while being seen as an empathetic partner and collaborator.
* What we will teach you:
* Retail or Footwear/Apparel Industry experience (consumer experience preferred but does not need to be in retail or Footwear/Apparel)
* A Global POV (no need to have experience at a Global brand, regional experience is totally fine)
