As a member of our Strategy, Planning & Analytics (SP&A) team you will: help shape IIGs strategy, advance IIGs strategic priorities in support of the Institutional mission, clients, participants, products, and crew, and support senior leader decision making across the division.

In this role, you will:

* Demonstrate strong conceptual thinking skills to address key strategic topics and questions in the division and set vision for project team(s).
* Apply strong project management skills to lead and execute engagements and provide direction and guidance to a team of strategy analysts. Leverage and manage cross-functional teams as required.
* Conduct efficient and thorough analyses of substantial (i.e., high impact) strategic issues confronting the Institutional business following traditional strategy consulting frameworks and methodologies, including hypothesis driven approach. Summarize and present findings through compelling story-lines, presentations, and white papers.
* Demonstrate strong executive presence in presenting strategic analysis, findings, and recommendations to senior management.
* Utilize relationship management skills to assist senior leaders in formulating and implementing the divisional agenda and help inform business planning.
* Keep abreast of industry, market and company trends, and partner with business leaders to understand key concerns and opportunities for IIG; tailor analysis and synthesis around these topics.
* Act as a thought leader by identifying strategic topics and presenting compelling ideas for research evaluation to the SP&A team and senior leadership. Build and maintain strategic relationships across sites, departments, divisions, and internal and external partners to support initiatives.
* Hire, evaluate, and supervise crew. Provide coaching, guidance, and training as necessary to develop crew. Set performance standards, review performance, and make informed compensation decisions in accordance with all applicable Human Resources policies and procedures.
* Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned.

What It Takes:

* Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of training and experience (Master's degree or PhD preferred).
* Minimum of eight years related experience, including substantial experience in strategy consulting and financial analysis.
* Ability to lead complex strategic engagements with a high degree of autonomy and accountability.
* Exceptional leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including strong presentation skills to senior management.
* Preference for knowledge of the retirement industry and Vanguard's institutional business segment.
* Excellent project management and prioritization skills.
