Job Description

Alternative Investments Associates and Accountants work as part of a team responsible for providing accounting, administration and investor servicing for hedge funds, private equity funds and closed-end registered products. Works with other Alternative Investments Associates and Accountants to prepare client deliverables. Acts as a point of contact for one or more clients on various aspects of the servicing relationship. Develops an in-depth level of technical, process, and professional knowledge. May perform fund accounting responsibilities, including accounting entries and account reconciliations. Routine work is performed under general supervision and is thoroughly reviewed and approved prior to dissemination. Follows standard department and client processes/procedures. Working towards an associates or bachelors degree with preference in Accounting, Finance or a business-related field.

Excellent verbal, written communication and relationship building skills. Ability to interact with associates and clients at all levels. Accepts challenges and completes tasks with attention to detail and efficiency. Demonstrates the ability to multi-task and possess good organizational and problem-solving skills to coordinate, manage and follow through on projects. Exercises good judgement and conducts self with professionalism. Innovative thinker that can adapt to fast paced changes.

Basic Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent

Preferred Skills/Experience
- Basic knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
- Ability to identify and resolve/escalate complex problems with minimal guidance
- Ability to manage multiple tasks/projects and deadlines simultaneously
- Effective interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
- Proficient computer navigation skills using a variety of software packages including Microsoft Office applications
