Summit Oaks Hospital, a 126 bed, private acute care hospital and chemical dependency treatment center, located in suburban Summit, NJ, fully accredited (by the Joint Commission), has been providing quality health care to adult, child and adolescent northeastern USA residents since 1902. The Hospital has been recognized in U.S. News & World Report, as one of the nation's best behavioral health hospitals.

Our Cook position presents an ideal opportunity for an energetic, motivated individual with prior experience working in a dietary or culinary setting. The Cook functions as an active part of the dietary team, providing meals for a range of dietary needs, maintaining proper food service sanitation, and coordinating with the registered dieticians. The ideal candidate will be able to comply with menus and recipes provided by the Director of Food & Nutrition Services and the dietician.

Qualifications

Education: High School Diploma or equivalent preferred. Culinary or food management courses from an accredited school or equivalent training program preferred.

Experience: Must have at least 3-5 years experience in quantity cooking, a basic knowledge of modified diets; training in food service sanitation and possession of food service food handlers permit as required; experience utilizing industrial kitchen equipment and utensils.

Other Credentials: Serv Safe Certification required.
