Located in the heart of Las Vegas, Valley Hospital Medical Center is an acute care and teaching hospital that has provided high quality healthcare to residents of Southern Nevada since 1972. The hospital offers a comprehensive range of services, including advanced cardiology, neurology, surgery and more.
Job Description:
Responsible for the analysis of laboratory specimens and subsequent result reporting according to laboratory protocol and procedures. This positions acts as general supervisor over assigned lab activities and requires no direct supervision, able to work alone.
Qualifications
Job Requirements:
Education:
BSMT(ASCP) or equivalent as defined by CLIA'88
Experience:
5 years experience as Medical Technologist with at least 3 years in departmental modality assigned as a Lead Tech.
Technical Skills:
General bench tech skills required to provide coverage in all modalities
License/Certification:
Nevada State Licensure as general supervisor in addition to ASCP or equivalent board registration.
Other:
Must be able to demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to provide high quality of patient care appropriately (specific age competent). Must possess appropriate people skills, organization and attention to detail. Must desire to act as a resource and provide assistance as required.
