The Associate Director of Operations, Corporate Affairs will be an emerging professional with exceptional written and verbal communication, planning and organizational skills to provide executive-level and broad operational and project management support capacities. They will serve as a central liaison for internal and external matters, requiring the ability to exercise good judgement in a variety of situations, handle confidential matters with discretion, work well under pressure, and maintain balance among multiple priorities. They will excel in a fast-paced environment with the ability to multi-task and maintain meticulous attention to detail.

The Associate Director of Operations, Corporate Affairs will report to the Senior Director of Operations, UnitedHealth Group Corporate Affairs.

Primary Responsibilities:

* Support the Senior Director of Operations in day-to-day operations and facilities management for local and remote office locations
* Manage front desk operations ensuring adequate coverage and staff training
* Manage and track projects from initiation through completion adhering to established processes and protocols
* Implement a broad array of administrative tasks and operational activities
* Coordinate with administrative professionals and BSLs to execute activities as needed
* Assess and interpret customer needs and requirement
* Identify solutions to non-standard requests and problems
* Provides explanations and information to others on difficult issues
* Maintain high standards of office presentation and ongoing maintenance
* Create effective intake and management systems for office-related requests
* Perform a myriad of tasks in support of Corporate Affairs
* Ensure compliance with standardized policies and procedures to improve operational efficiencies
* Manage supply operations to include ordering and inventory control
* Maintain emergency response readiness

Required Qualifications:

* Bachelor's degree, or equivalent experience
* 7+ years of varied professional experience
* 3+ years of operations experience in a corporate, military, or government position
* Experience working with senior level executives
* Experience working in a large, matrixed organization
* Experience using Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
* Experience successfully collaborating with others in a team environment
* You will be asked to perform this role in an office setting or other company location
* Employees are required to screen for symptoms using the ProtectWell mobile app, Interactive Voice Response (i.e., entering your symptoms via phone system) or a similar UnitedHealth Group-approved symptom screener prior to entering the work site each day, in order to keep our work sites safe. Employees must comply with any state and local masking orders. In addition, when in a UnitedHealth Group building, employees are expected to wear a mask in areas where physical distancing cannot be attained

* Master's Degree or higher education
* Highly organized and flexible to adjust and adapt to changing priorities and circumstances
* Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously with accuracy
* Ability to project confidence and control when dealing with last minute changes and unforeseen circumstances
* Excellent attention to detail and proactive follow-through of assigned projects
