Primary Responsibilities:
* Serve as a pharmacy subject matter expert for medication related questions within the company
* Participate in the definition of Optum standard medication terminologies
* Clinical mapping of coded and un-coded data from customer's clinical (EMR's) and financial (claims) systems to proprietary medication terminology system
* Operate Optum's advanced terminology development tools
* Participate in the implementation and use of clinical data quality systems and processes
* Support product release work and scheduled updates including but not limited to resolving mapping issues
* Work closely with clinical informatics specialists in knowledge representation areas
* Develop and contribute to medication terminology related editorial policies/ mapping heuristics
* Ability to work creatively and flexibly, both independently and as part of a team
* Desire and ability to learn new skills, systems, and processes

Required Qualifications:
* Bachelors or doctorate degree in pharmacy
* An active pharmacist license
* 2+ years of work experience with medication data in EMR (Electronic Medical Records) or Claims
* 1+ year experience in mapping of medication data from source to target system
* 1+ year of experience with medication terminology systems
* Experience performing tasks and adhering to timeframes within a project plan
* Experience to independently analyze and summarize medication data issues
* Experience creating presentations to convey ideas and data findings
* Telecommute available for this role with preference given to Boston, MA
